Our Story

McCaysville Church of God was founded in 1911. It was birthed out of a movement of believers from many backgrounds who wanted something more than just running through the motions of religious practice. The original church was located in downtown McCaysville on the banks beside the Toccoa River. A thriving and vibrant congregation, would see their first building overcome by the flood of 1990. The compromised building would prompt the men of the church to dream bigger and build the present church in its location.
